The Policy Conversations series aims to:
- give TasCOSS and the sector an opportunity to share and discuss current state and federal policy issues, and
- provide a forum to gather input for the sector’s advocacy work, such as submissions and lobbying.
The topic will be announced two weeks prior to each event. If you are interested in being notified upon release of the subject please email Bridget.

Making Customers Central in the Conversation on Energy
We know that electricity costs are a high proportion of low-income household budgets. Most Tasmanians rank electricity as one of their top two cost concerns and half of us become anxious when we receive a power bill. So how is our main electricity retailer helping to improve affordability, supporting customers experiencing vulnerability and working to put customers at the centre of energy issues?
Join us for a policy conversation with Aurora Energy that will explain how they are addressing community expectations and help us and our service users manage electricity costs with advice on energy efficiency, energy products, payment options and supports for customer that need it.
Registrations are open to all TasCOSS Members and close 5pm, Monday 19 August. For more information, please contact Dr Charlie Burton, Policy Manager, on (03) 6169 9514 or email Charlie.
