The proposed Tasmanian Charter of Human Rights
(2006)
TasCOSS' submission to the Tasmanian Law Reform Institute's inquiry 'Do we need a Tasmanian Charter of Human Rights'. TasCOSS is strongly advocating for a Tasmanian Charter of Human Rights because we believe it will significantly increase community awareness of human rights and promote a greater culture of respect for the rights of all Tasmanians. This submission argues for any Tasmanian Charter of Human Rights to include civil, political, social, economic and cultural rights in an indivisible approach that protects the full range of rights of all Tasmanians.
